Vacation is Over, now it is time to clime Mount Laundry-ous!

Wowsers!
It's Catch Up Crazy around here.
Not that that isn't the theme of my life anyway.
But after an 8 day holiday with 4 people, it's pretty wild.
Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful to be able to eek out a vacation.
Our one and only per year...
An 8 day trip to Anaheim, 5 days in Disneyland.
When I was little there was no such thing as a vacation!
Going on a little day trip was difficult to afford and rare.
BUT the chaos that ensues once we have come home is NUTS.
The piles of homework!
The mountain of laundry!
The box of mail to sort and deal with.
Emails, orders to fill and shipments!
Problems that have come up while we were away...
-Something major has to go wrong, or you just aren't on vacation.
We did have a good time...
The children had a great deal of fun
-they were able to get into the "StarWars Training Academy"
And we took with some good friends!
Now it is back to the grind!
And problem solving.
And cooking, cleaning and laundry.
I have been hard at work on some great new things, for my shops.
Have a super terrific day!

Well I got a torch...

Yes I did!

It so pretty and useful and all things lovely. I have been making headpins and earwire... looking for classes too... The headpins are super terrific. I don't think that I will ever buy headpins and earring wire again! YEAY!!! I did list some in my shop to sell...

So here they are!

OH... I also just bought a new camera!!! It's great , I learned how to change the settings and take pretty decent photos! I have been fighting photography selling on line for YEARS! So it's just so exciting to finally be able to take fine pictures.
Thanks for peeking!

What? So I've been busy!

Yeah, so I haven't been around in a while. I have spent the summer learning how to use a photo editing system and designing graphics for web pages and custom business cards. MAN, is it fun! But I do have lots of super neat new jewelry to list up! So please, have a peek.

I'm learning how to make templates using the coading, which is super fun! And making all of my graphics, when I'm not using vintage. I use commercial use pieces that I arrange and color as they mostly come in white, gray and black.

Here is an example of a sample board that I make for some ones business cards, check out the cool party hats that she makes!

Have a super terrific Day!

ETSY, it's where it's at!

I HEART ETSY!

I love making my jewelry and I LOVE to sell my jewelry. The coolest thing to me is that I list it in my Etsy shop and people from all over the world see my jewelry. I shipped out a package to Australia yesterday! I will probably never get to go to Australia, Germany or Spain, or many of the other countries I have sent my wearables too... my jewelry is sent there, thus a part of me is there. Another cool feature is that you can read Feedback for the makers items and look at the things that they have sold. As a buyer I love to order custom things. It feels really good to have someone make a special request. I like to share the love... "they like me they really like me"! I like to support the other Etsians. And of course spread the word about Etsy to BUYERS.

Well, here are some of my newest listings... What can I say, I LOVE Turquoise!

Have a super great day!

WHAT?

Soooo, I don't type all that often, I was busy and had laundry to do and papers to sort... all of that. No one ever reads it anyway, so I only blog for my own amusement.

I did do a fund raiser for my son's school. My necklace and earring set had a highest bid of $62! So that was cool... "they like me they really like me" But then I shoot myself in the foot by not having my business cards yet, they can several days late! All of those ladies swooning over my jewelry... Did I go up to them and talk to them? -you ask... NO because I'm a fraidy cat and wimp. It is so hard to sell your things when you are a wimp!

I well, wish I had taken a picture of that set... I fretted and fretted about it until the last minute . I should make another while it is still fresh in the mind.

Check out my cards I designed them! They aren't perfect, but I was proud, being a dummy and all.

A simple bit of whatnot?

So, I am here in my little space in bits n pieces. I have no garage, no storage, no attic and waiting on a never ending remodel so that I can get my long awaited studio (and 2 more bathrooms)... But it feels like never. I have 3 men to take care of, one bathroom to share and storage tubs everywhere.

But I do have my beading corner. I sit there and everything else becomes... blurry. I bead...

Howdy! My first blog!

So, it's been a long time a coming, that I have been striving to make an art into something that will help me stay at home with my boys and have fun. I am an artsy person, I can't help it. I have always done something. I sew, paint, draw, sing, dance (very badly) and decorate... But for the last 15 years or so I keep coming back to beading... I love all of it... I love to shop for the beads, talk to the venders and ask them questions (when they are agreeable) and I like organizing the beads, laying them out and unstinging them, I like to make wired color combinations and hammer my own head pins. I like to think of what others might like and I would wear. I like wire wrapping and stacking the beads... I just love beads... And I have alot of them, some I find hard to part with. BUT most of all I like to make people happy, and if my beads make them happy, they can have them, (if they treat them well and love them).

Anyway, I sold to shops (alot of driving) did private trunk shows, (alot of work!) and sold on the E@@@ monster. I've searched the internet for a place that crafters could sell their handmade pieces of mind and the big business hadn't taken over and to ruin everyones fun... And then I found Etsy! Etsy.com and set up shop. That is the creative shelter for me, weary traveler I was.

I am a lady and an addict... of beads.
